A partire dalla stagione P/E 2013, quando la maison Dolce&Gabbana ha inserito dettagli e motivi in vimini e rafia (vedere mio articolo qui), questi materiali non sono mai stati del tutto abbandonati. In particolare sono apparse spesso nelle collezioni D&G borse in rafia lavorata all’uncinetto. Per la sfilata pret-a-porter primavera/estate 2016 (intitolata “Italia is love“) sono spuntate le ceste-borsa: dei veri cesti tradizionali (in vimini e canna) di varie dimensioni (dalla clutch alla shopper, verrebbe da dire) foderati in tessuto e in alcuni casi decorati all’esterno con pizzi, specchietti, pon-pon e nappe come un carretto siciliano.

Tranquilli: non vedremo i cesti in negozio venduti a migliaia di euro come le altre borse D&G. Questi “intrusi” fanno solo parte della scenografia. La sfilata infatti è caratterizzata dalla mescolanza di ispirazione anni ’50 e ironia moderna (con abbondanza di selfie). D’altra parte i cesti esistono in quanto utili (dico io) e qui consentono di mostrare in sfilata gli altrimenti snobbati portafogli e necessaire, con il laccetto (finalmente abbiamo capito a cosa serve!) assicurato al manico del paniere.

Non si può non ricordare allora il più famoso precedente: le innumerevoli foto di Jane Birkin che ben prima di ispirare la

costosissima borsa omonima andava a spasso con una borsa-cesto di canna con tanto di coperchio (altri esempi qui).

Since the S / S 2013, when the fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has entered details and patterns wicker and raffia (see my article here), these materials have never been entirely abandoned. In particular they have appeared often in the D & G collections raffia bags crocheted. For the fashion show ready to wear Spring / Summer 2016 (entitled “Italy is love”) came out bag baskets: real traditional baskets (wicker and cane) of various sizes (from clutch to the shopper, one might say) lined in fabric and in some cases outside decorated with lace, mirrors, pom–poms and tassels as a Sicilian cart.

Worry: we will not see the baskets in shop sold to thousands of Euros as the other D & G handbags. These “intruders” are just part of the scenery. The parade is characterized by the fact of inspiration 50s mixing modern irony (with plenty of selfies). On the other hand the baskets are as useful (I say) so here allow you to show in the fashion show otherwise snubbed portfolios and beauty case, with strap (we finally figured out what’s the use!) secured to the handle of the basket.

One can not remember then the most famous precedent: the countless photos of Jane Birkin that well before inspire expensive namesake bag, went out walking with a bag–cane basket complete with a cover (other examples here).
